My personal journey

My final school year at Sihlengiwe S School, Mpumalanga

My matric experience was... well, fantastic! My name is Pretty Msiza and I am from Verena, Mpumalanga. I am a  proud product of Sihlengiwe S School situated in Verena (Wolvenkop) which is a very small village. I completed my matric in a year 2012 and we used to travell by bus from home to school because school was very far from home.

Our class was very small, we were only 29 in class and we obtained 86% at the end of the year. That was the good work done by our principal Mr Ntuli because he used to encourage us to work hard.

I also want to give praises to the teachers for  the job well done, if it weren't for them I wouldn't be where I am today. Our school was not advance in technology, we used chalk boards and not projectors. We had only one computer used by staff members only, but despite that we managed to pass with flying colours at the end of the year.

Chrome extensions for Grade R

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/counting-games-finger-cou/iokoeiklbcoaekfaibeiogojlbpncehf?

WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS PARTICULAR CHROME EXTENTION

I chose this particular chrome extension beacuse i found it more suitable and appropriate for Grade R leaners. In most cases children learn through seeing and doing. When they see this game they will look and see what is done, then they will also want to do what they are seeing and it will be easy for them to learn in that way. Another thing is that it is a fun game so they will not get bored.

WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM GRADE Rs IN NUMBERS

Grade R leaners must be able to count atleast from one to ten and be able to differentiate/recognise numbers. They must also know how to count using fingers, shapes and other objects. The most important thing is to learn calculating using objects around them.
